In the summer of 2030, Kosovo will host the XXI Mediterranean Games. We designed and built the official website for the Organising Committee of the XXI Mediterranean Games Prishtina 2030 (OCMG Kosova).
Launching years ahead
The website had to go live years before the opening, while the programme, the venues and the dates were still being confirmed. So it publishes what is settled and says plainly what is not: the countdown, the sports and the host venues are marked as provisional until they are confirmed.
Three languages
The site runs in English, Albanian and French, for visitors in Kosovo and across the Mediterranean.
What we would tell other event organisers
- Launch with what you know. A clear, honest site early beats a complete one late.
- Label what is provisional. Mark dates, venues and figures that may change, on the page itself.
- Plan the languages first. Design for every language from the start, not as a translation step at the end.
- Make updates easy. The people running the event should be able to publish news and changes without waiting for developers.
- Build for growth. Expect new sections as the event approaches, and leave room for them.
